Trisha Daruwala
Trisha brings to DS Psychology Group a wealth of experience and a unique cultural understanding with the clinical roles she has had overseas. Originally trained in India through 7+ years of academic and clinical training, Trisha has worked in both community and private mental health settings in senior clinical roles delivering assessment and psychotherapy. Trisha has successfully engaged a diverse range of clients including adolescents, adults, and older adults across a range of concerns including anxiety, low mood, trauma, stress, burnout, relationship issues, self-esteem, and neurodivergence.
Trisha prioritises creating a safe and supportive environment where clients feel genuinely heard and respected. She understands that sharing personal experiences takes courage and aims to build a therapeutic relationship grounded in empathy, trust, and kindness. Trisha’s approach is collaborative and tailored, empowering clients to explore their strengths and work toward meaningful change at their own pace. She uses evidence-based therapies such as all delivered with warmth, flexibility, and cultural awareness.
Since moving to Melbourne, she’s been enjoying connecting with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds while adjusting to the Australian way of life herself.
