Nicole Doyle
Nicole is a Psychologist with a Master of Professional Psychology from the University of Melbourne and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Australian Psychology Society (MAPS).
Nicole brings a warmth, maturity, and compassionate style to create a non-judgemental and safe space to support and empower her clients to explore, navigate challenges and achieve their goals. She incorporates trauma informed practice, neuro-affirming and a client-centred approach to therapy. She engages collaboratively with her clients to tailor effective and practical evidence-based therapeutic solutions.
Nicole has experience working across a range of psychological presentations including trauma, anxiety, depression, sleep difficulties, health, adjustment and life transitions. Nicole has worked across community, not for profit, hospital, and higher education settings where she provided assessment, individual therapy and counselling across the lifespan. Nicole ALSO has experience delivering cognitive, educational and ADHD assessment and tailor’s practical recommendations to support her clients.
Nicole has particular interest working with individuals who are struggling with trauma (PTSD/CPTSD), depression, anxiety disorders, chronic or terminal illness, sleep difficulty, adjustment and burn out.
Nicole has previously worked on several international research clinical trials (randomised clinical trial) at Melbourne University (Phoenix Australia), that investigated therapeutic interventions for adults with PTSD, CPTSD, and sleep disorders. She has also worked in research clinical trials that investigated social and cognitive function with children who have a genetic disorder (NF1), ASD, and ADHD at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute/Royal Children’s Hospital.
Nicole draws on her wealth of mindfulness-based practices from both her psychological studies and the depth of her personal practice that has spanned more than 25 years.
Nicole enjoys walking in nature (especially the beach), coffee, landscape photography (especially chasing sunsets), and meditation.
