Matthew Koo
Matthew is a provisional psychologist who supports individuals to better understand themselves, build psychological flexibility, and reconnect with the parts of life that matter most to them. He is passionate about helping people recognise their strengths, develop self-compassion, and move forward with greater confidence and clarity.
Matthew works in a collaborative and reflective way, offering a calm and supportive space where clients can explore their experiences without fear of judgement. He places strong emphasis on curiosity, authenticity, and emotional safety, and aims to support clients to feel empowered in both understanding their challenges and developing meaningful, sustainable ways of coping.
He values therapy as a shared process and tailors his approach to suit each individual’s needs, recognising that no two journeys are the same. Matthew is thoughtful and attentive in his work, supporting clients to build insight, resilience, and a stronger sense of agency over time.
Outside of the clinic, Matthew enjoys staying active through playing basketball and expresses his creativity through music. He enjoys singing and playing the guitar and violin, and values these pursuits as important ways to maintain balance and wellbeing.
