Kate Buchanan
Kate is a warm and compassionate provisional psychologist who is dedicated to creating a supportive, non-judgemental space where clients feel safe, understood, and genuinely valued. She takes a client-centred and collaborative approach, working alongside individuals to explore their experiences, understand their needs, and support meaningful and sustainable change.
Kate brings a rich and diverse professional background to her clinical work. She has experience in the family law and family mediation sectors, as well as the early childhood field. In addition, Kate has also worked as a Behaviour Support Practitioner, supporting individuals across the lifespan who are experiencing mental health challenges, neurodiversity-related needs, grief, trauma, and stress-related conditions. This breadth of experience informs her compassionate, holistic, and strengths-based approach to therapy.
Kate is committed to empowering her clients by providing practical tools, enhancing emotional insight, and strengthening confidence in navigating life’s challenges. She is guided by genuine curiosity, respect, and a strong belief in each person’s capacity for growth.
Outside of her clinical work, Kate enjoys listening to music, reading, and keeping active.
