Jayesha De Silva

Provisional Psychologist

Jayesha brings over seven years of experience working in client-facing roles within the disability sector and values approaching her work with empathy, compassion, respect, and collaboration. Through her experience supporting individuals with complex neurological disabilities, she has developed a strong appreciation for individualised, culturally sensitive care and the importance of working collaboratively to support clients’ wellbeing and goals.

Having grown up across Sri Lanka, Qatar, and Australia, Jayesha is passionate about providing culturally safe and inclusive care that empowers clients from diverse backgrounds. Her experience working alongside Behaviour Support Practitioners, Psychologists, and multidisciplinary teams has strengthened her communication skills, reflective practice, and ability to tailor support to each client’s unique needs.

Alongside her disability support work, Jayesha currently works in undergraduate psychology education, supporting teaching and assessment within a university setting. She values ongoing learning and is particularly interested in supporting adults experiencing anxiety, depression, adjustment difficulties, work-related stress, and life transitions.

Outside of clinical work, Jayesha enjoys going for long walks, reading fiction novels, and travelling.
