Jacqueline Sebire

Registered Psychologist

Jac is a warm and personable psychologist, skilled in evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Her approach prioritises building a strong rapport over rigid questioning, believing that a trusting and comfortable therapeutic relationship is essential for enabling meaningful support.

Jac works with adolescents and adults aged 15+, with experience in treating anxiety, depression, grief, burnout, adjustment issues, stress, trauma, low self-esteem, and conflict and communication difficulties. She has a passion for supporting clients to navigate interpersonal and relationship challenges, including conflict, infidelity, communication difficulties, abuse, and violence. She creates a safe and empathetic space to explore these complex issues, empowering individuals to understand their own patterns and to develop the confidence to heal.

Jac also works closely with women experiencing hormonal and health-related transitions, such as puberty, pregnancy, postpartum, and menopause. With a holistic understanding of the physical and medical changes that occur during these times, she integrates this knowledge to ensure mental health support is comprehensive, evidence-based and empowering.

Prior to training in psychology, Jacqueline had a diverse career working in events and communications across the private, not-for-profit, and government sectors, both in Australia and the UK. This broad experience has given her a wealth of knowledge about different working and living environments, which she brings to her practice.

Jac also conducts cognitive and educational assessments with children, helping to identify learning difficulties, ADHD, and developmental challenges. Following assessment, detailed strategies and recommendations are developed to support areas of weakness including behaviours of concern.

Jacqueline is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS).
